The terms, policies and conditions (collectively known as "Conditions") described below govern the use of this site referred to as North Port Gift Baskets. Your use and/or placement of any order indicate your acceptance of these Conditions.
North Port Gift Baskets ships via UPS, FEDEX, USPS, OR DHL on business days. Business days are Monday through Friday. Saturday, Sunday and Holidays are not business days. Our shipping charges are inclusive of processing, handling and shipping cost. We take great care in appropriately packaging and shipping your order so that it arrives fresh. There will be NO REFUNDS for delivered late or not ordered with the correct shipping method, incorrect or incomplete shipping address.
Please note Ground shipping is never guaranteed to arrive on a specific day. The time of day your order is placed, the method of delivery you choose, location of the recipient, weather conditions, holidays, occasional delays by carriers, and other factors, such as an incorrect addressees can all impact the delivery and arrival date of your gift.
We will always do everything possible to expedite your gift order, however we cannot guarantee specific dates or times of arrival. We try to process orders as quickly as possible usually within 24 to 72 hours after receipt of the order. We may need some additional time to process orders due to high volume or temporarily out of stock items. You will be notified via email if an item is no longer available or any delays will take place.

Shipping to Hospital & Hotels: Deliveries to hospitals are not recommended. These shipments go to a general receiving department being routed to the patients room. Sorry, no refunds will be given if the patient checks out or cannot be located. Packages are normally sent to a general receiving department before being routed internally to the patient's and/or guest's room.
Please be advised for hospital deliveries the patient's room number and ward/unit are required on the delivery address by the hospital, without this information the hospital can refuse delivery. Because your gift will not be delivered directly to the recipient, we regret we cannot guarantee this type of delivery and will be unable to issue a refund if the patient and/or hotel guest checks out or is unable to be located within the facility. Please be advised there will be additional charges added to have the package re-routed if the patient/guest has checked out or has been released.
We will charge your credit card for rerouting. For perishable items shipped but refused upon delivery at either a hospital or hotel and returned back to us, a refund will NOT be issued.
Changes In Shipping Information
INCORRECT SHIPPING ADDRESS: If an error is made in the shipping address after the order has been placed. or shipping address needs to be changed. Please notify us immediately. If the order has not been shipped, we will gladly make the necessary changes.
INCOMPLETE SHIPPING ADDRESS: If an Incomplete shipping address is provided by customer in which a gift may not be shipped to recipient because is lacking a shipping address. Gift Basket Etc will attempt to obtain a complete shipping address from customer for the recipient to complete order by contacting customer, via Email and phone.
If no reply is received from customer, within 2- 3 days of when order was placed (Day indicated on order receipt). North Port Gift Basket reserves the right to ship the order to Customers address. North Port Gift Baskets will provide Email Tracking confirmation to customer when order has been shipped.
We regret no refund will be issued for incomplete addresses after order has been shipped to customer or by refusal of gift by customer after order has been shipped due to customer NOT providing us with the recipients complete shipping address.
If the gift with an incorrect address has already been picked up by the Parcel Delivery Company. We will need to contact them to reroute the package to the correct address. A rerouting fee of $25.00 will be charged to your credit card for this error. If UPS, FEDEX, USPS, DHL request a corrected or more complete address after we ship your order. There is a $25.00 fee per order. Please avoid this fee by providing an accurate and complete address when you place your order.
IF UPS, FEDEX, DHL, OR USPS return your order to us as undeliverable, you then have the option of reshipping the same order to a new address and paying a new shipping charge, or receiving a credit for 50% of the total amount of your order. (There is a 50% restocking fee.) The shipping charge is non refundable.
Holiday Shipping Policy:
We recommend you order early so that your gift arrives in time for Christmas or other Holidays and to avoid any disappointments. Delays in delivery may occur during the Holiday season and last minute ordering. Please allow extra time during Holiday seasons. Expedited delivery is available during checkout. Please be aware that during the second and third week of December, it is not uncommon for the carriers to suspend time-in-transit guarantees. Please note that we are closed on the following days. All orders received on these days will be processed on the next business day.

Free Shipping Details & Exclusions: Applies to One gift Basket or one gift order being shipped to one address via standard Ground shipping within USA. Orders With Multiple Baskets Going To One Address Will Be Charged Additional Shipping Costs. Custom Gift Basket & Gifts Are Not Included In This Promo.
Chocolate Summer Shipping Policy ( From May - October ) : During summer months we do not recommend shipping of high contents of chocolate gifts. Please note these gifts will be shipped at your own risk via Next Day Only. We regret are unable to guarantee chocolates will not melt, due to carriers at times may need to leave gifts outside when there is no one at home at time of delivery. between May and October regardless of the destination. Please choose correct shipping option If the correct shipping method is not chosen when ordering we will automatically charge your credit card for the shipping method. These charges are not reversible nor are they refundable.When shipping chocolate during summer months May - October via next day, ice packs is used and there is a surcharge for this service.
North Port Gift Baskets is not responsible for heat damage of chocolate products during summer months. Temperatures vary across the country we may elect not to ship any package over a weekend to guarantee its arrival in premium condition. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. We recommend shipping to an address where someone will be able to receive the package when it is delivered. We suggest shipping to a work place or arranging for someone to be home on the date you expect your delivery.
Chocolate left outside your home all day may be damaged by weather that is too hot, cold, rainy or humid. If the recipient is not at home to receive package, our carrier will leave the package without a signature required.
We are NOT responsible for packages left without a signature. Please ensure that recipient is home to receive the package OR have it shipped to a place of business where someone may sign for it. Commercial deliveries require an adult signature. We can not guarantee delivery will be made if the shipping company is unable to deliver a package due to incomplete or incorrect address information. If your order arrives late due to a Shipping Company, carriers delay, you will be credited for shipping charges once the cause of the delay is determined. Delays due to acts of extreme weather and natural disasters are NOT subject to a shipping refund.
Orders sent to a wrong or incomplete address are NOT guaranteed and may be assessed an additional fee. We reserve the right to bill you for incomplete/incorrect addresses that result in this additional fee. Refunds or replacements will only be given if your order arrives damaged. Food items and perishables cannot be returned.
Substitutions: Because of the popularity of our gifts at times we may need to substitute items, as we make changes to our inventory based upon discovery on new and unique items, product availability and seasonal difference. During summer months May - October, chocolate in regular gifts may be substituted with hard candy items. Therefore, Substitution may be made, but quality will never be compromised. North Port Gift Baskets reserves the right to substitute products.
Wine Shipping: Due to Local ordinances, gift baskets containing wine may only be shipped to the following states: AK, CA, DC,FL, HI, ID, IL, IA, LA, MN, MO, NE, NV, NM, ND, OH, OR, TX, WA, WV, WY. Adult signatures are required on all wine shipments. Wine Restriction is very complex and updates may occur due to changes in State ordinances.
